Are you one of those people who look at a bill board and stop not just to appreciate the art but also to introspect the work, get intrigued to learn the technique or maybe think ‘eh, i could have done better than that’. Hello, creative hooman. The world is literally your canvas which you plan on designing with flashes from your rich imagination and skills.
Design is an integral part of our lives. Look around you everything around you has been carefully ‘designed’ to serve it’s purpose and cater to your needs. Everything is truly an art. Through mind and efforts are put in everything you see around you. Every object has it’s own purpose.
Some objects (like a statue) are designed to be intriguing and catch attention. They should be able to lure people and get their gaze on them. An art gallery exhibition can also be taken as an instance.
The world around you is full of incredible examples which will never fail to awe you. Designs are purely made to appeal to the human eye. Designers always try their best to provide the consumers with the best amalgamation of function and beauty. A very common example of this can be portable blenders which are in shape of a large flask and prepared to blend in any social setting. You just have to charge them and voila you are set.
Design is more than drawing. It is hours of brain cramming, bouncing of ideas in a team, thousands of drafts, and then obviously getting your design rejected many a times before getting the approval from the brand. It requires a lot of research, data collecting and what not. One of the most heard examples of this can be the decision to ‘lose the audio jack’ in coming phones.
Designs are all inspired by people around us. They arouse out of need and want and also sometimes if they are just ‘aesthetic’ (the trend is just in). It is a world full of people who are ready to express themselves with ideas brimming of originality and individuality.
